This marvelous 2013 James Condino A5 mandolin is #2 of 4 mandolins made from identical slices of the same Brazilian Rosewood boards. This rosewood was used for the back, sides, headstock overlay, and finger rest. It was trade back in as a deposit for a F5 mandolin by James. The Adirondack Spruce top does from 1989, cut by Ted Davis and John Arnold.The Brazilian Rosewood source boards are approximately 50 years old. The Michigan red maple neck blank is approximately 25 years old. The tuners are custom made in Italy by Nicolo Alessi. The fret wire is Evo. This mandolin features all hot hide glue construction and French polished varnish. A very versatile instrument, the fine mandolin features even response mall over the neck and rewards with a crisp and musical voice. With hardshell case.
