Description

This 1965 Martin D-28 S is in very clean condition. The only repair work has been to return to the factory for a bridge reglue or replacement. While it was there, this D-28 S received, except for the headstock, a very light “cleanup” overspray. The instrument has seen very little sunlight or play time since then. The top is a fine grain Sitka Spruce. The back, sides, and headstock overlay are from the classic brick-red Brazilian Rosewood that was cut and pressed at Martin’s own sawmill. The original Waverly tuners are in very nice condition, turning freely and precisely. All other parts are original to this guitar. This instrument has a very strong voice that will only develop more through regular play. The consigning owner has developed shoulder trouble, so playing these large instruments are not fun for him any more. This is just my kind of Martin guitar to play, a rosewood 12 fret D !! With the period correct Harptone hardshell case.
