Description

These photos were taken before I oiled the fingerboard and bridge, then installed a set of D’Addario light gauge 80/20 strings.

This barely used 1951 Gibson LG-3  has a few signs of handling, but remains crisp and bright in its state of presentation. Golden amber Sitka Spruce top with scalloped brace voicing, Honduras Mahogany back, sides, and neck, Kluson Deluxe tuner with replaced buttons, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge (a replacement?),  Cream bridge pins and endpin. The brightness of the reds in the pickguard indicate that it hardly ever saw sunlight. The is a little finish lifting as tracks in the lower bout treble side, likely from life in the chipboard case that this guitar was likely sold with. Alan Perlman recently leveled the frets and touched up the compensation points of the bridge saddle. The crisp even voice is very balanced, especially so now with 80/20 bronze strings. With replacement hardshell case.
