Description
This beautiful shaded top 1932 Martin OM-18 (52519) is one of the nicest sounding prewar OM-18s that I have ever had in the shop. Adirondack Spruce top, Honduras mahogany back, sides, and neck. Replacement Waverly G-98 style tuners. Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay with gold “C.F. Martin” decal. Ebony nut, snail shell inlays in ebony fingerboard. Bridge pins and endpin look to be original. OLD REPAIRS include: Reglue of original pick guard, Glue 4 3/4″ crack extending from the bass side of the neck block, Bridge replacement with brushed finish repair at bridge margin edges. More RECENT REPAIRS in the last 10 years include: Neck reset with fingerboard extension wedge shim, Repair of bridge pin holes, New bone bridge saddle, Level and crown frets with shimming of some of the frets nearest the nut. The general condition shows some scratches and dents from handling and play. The voice is strong, lively and well-balanced. With hardshell case.
