Martin after 1970

There are plenty of great Martin guitars that have been made after 1970, particularly those made in the last 10 years. I especially like those made with extra stiff Adirondack Spruce tops that give a snappy clear treble to go along with the famous Martin bass. Personal favorites are new D-18GE and D-18A and some OM and 12 fret OOO models that I get in trade with Martin dealers.

1989 D-18GOM (487172)

This "Guitar of The Month" model is in especially clean, near mint, condition and has a very strong voice. There were only 28 examples of this model made in 1989. Mahogany, Sitka spruce, Grover Rotomatic tuners, Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Diamonds and squares inlay, Rosewood bindings, Tortoise colored pickguard. Upgrades are ebony pins with abalone dots, and added strap button, and a compensated bone saddle. The neck angle is superb, with perfect saddle height and breakover angle. The voice is very strong and clear. With original hardshell case.
