This consignment 1964 OO-21 NY has been in the same family since new. One of 275 OO-21 NY guitars made in 1964 during the folk guitar boom, this instrument has been well cared for. The one repair procedure is the addition of the black pickguard. The Sitka spruce top has a very fine and even grain. The gorgeous brick red Brazilian rosewood has very striking landscape color figuring. There are some nicks and dings from string changes at the headstock, a few scattered pick and fingernail marks near the pickgaurd, and a few others elsewhere. The guitar has an excellent neck angle and does not need a neck reset. The voice is developed from regular play and has a fine, even tone all over the fingerboard. An excellent example of this model that was made only from 1961 through 1965. With replacement case.
