This 2012 Rockbridge 12 Fret Jumbo (318/12) represents the rosewood “Radio Grande” style version of the Rockbridge Smeck-style models that I enjoy so much. The singing voice of this guitar combines the complexity and ringing tone of a stiff, fine grain European spruce top hand selected from my own supply and the solid bass and lower midrange response from the dense African rosewood back and sides, also from my own supply. Honduras Mahogany neck with Waverly 4060 G-98 style tuners, Ebony headstock overlay with pearl script “Rockbridge” logo, 1 3/4″ nut width, Ivoroid bound Brazilian rosewood fingerbaord with 2 mm pearl dots, Ivoroid body bindings and line type purflings, 4″ soundhole, Brazilian rosewood rectangular bridge (hand-selected from my own supply), Ebony bridge pins, Tiger strip pickguard, turtle-oid strap buttons at neck heel and butt, Brazilian rosewood butt wedge, black line backstrip. This lively guitar has a very broad tonal palette, great dynamic range, and an easy response that makes it a pleasure to play. With Gibson hard case.
