This 1992 Collings D-1 (684) presents in remarkably clean condition, with very few signs that it has been played at all. The appointments scheme are standard for the time, with 1 11/16″ nut width, Gotoh Kluson DeLuxe style tuners, Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay, Ebony fingerboard with vintager sizing pearl dots, Red turtle-oid pickguard, Edge-cut ivoroid rosette detail, Red trutleoid body binding with edge-cut ivoroid detail, No backstrip, Ebony hellcap, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Replacement ebony bridge pins and endpin. The one small injury is an impact ding and short crack on the bass-side lower bout. The voice is stout and clear all over the fingerboard, great for flatpciking fiddle tunes or bluegrass style play. With hardshell case.
