This extremely clean, really mint condition, consignment 1983 Martin D-45V (445680) has a large and well developed voice. Alan Perlman recently performed a neck reset (with extension wedge), a refret, and made a new bone saddle, all of which have brought the playability back to better than brand new specifications. Lovely fine grain Sitka spruce top with many areas of bold grain lines for greater strength and more complex highs, Elegant brick-red Brazilian rosewood back and sides, Honduras Mahogany neck with gold “Martin” Schaller mini tuner and bound Brazilian rosewood headstock overlay, 45 style hexagon inlaid ebony fingerboard with binding, Full 45 style abalone purfling on all edges of the body and fingerboard extension, Pale red-brown vintage style pickguard, Ebony bridge with original set of abalone inlaid pins. The voice of this guitar is developed and huge, in contrast to the scratch-free lacquer finish. This instrument was extremely well cared for. With original black plastic Martin hard case.
