This 1971 Gryphon OM (5) comes from then estate of then original owner. The European spruce top is gorgeous, with fine even grain and a now golden amber color. The Brazilian rosewood back and sides are dark from their older style kiln drying techniques. Recent upgrades and repairs performed by Alan Perlman are: Neck reset and refret, Replacement of Gold Grover mini-Rotomatics with Wavery G-98 style tuners, Bridge replacement, and installation of fossilized ivory pin set. The voice is rich and open, with a large presence in a group. With hardshell case.
