This finely preserved consignment 1916 Gibson F4 mandolin has been in the care of the current owner since the early 1970s and remains in nice original condition with a minimum of handling wear. The voice is rich and complex, making it a fine melody instrument. Fine grain Adirondack spruce top, Figured Maple back and sides, Three piece Honduras mahogany neck, Original Waverly tuners with the characteristic inlaid Handel buttons, Pearl inlaid “The Gibson” logo and double flowerpot design in headstock, Pearl nut, Original frets with some light wear on the D string, Original and healthy reddish turtle-oid finger rest with mounting hardware, Original compensated bridge, Original nickel plated tailpiece. The voice is responsive and tonally complete. A nice classical or melody instrument. With original hardshell case.
